After a week of having a very bad flu I am resurfacing, hacking like a donkey (as anyone who sits within a mile of me will tell you), but at least alive and kicking. I should have known when the week before I caught the darned thing, I felt like I was ready to crawl into bed every day by 4:00 p.m.. But I remained clueless, until I awoke on a Tuesday morning with a 102 fever. I toughed it out on my own for two days before I gave in and went to the doctor. I did not bring my germs to work. I stayed home, and I like to think my colleagues appreciate it.
Meanwhile, I have purchased, and downed, every cough drop and remedy known to man, as well as relying on what the doctor gave me. I'm also getting B12 and B complex shots from my doctor, which I have to say has been a lifesaver. The days I get the shots, I feel so much better and have energy reserves that I don't have on the days I don't flash my left cheek to the doctor. Fun times. Happy to be back among the living.
