Here are my first, initial thoughts about the Vice Presidential debate (of course there are many more where those came from) ...
Aside from the fact that I cannot seem to get the theme song from, "Green Acres" out of my head, there were several distinct messages that slapped me silly:
1. John McCain = Gorge Bush
2. Palin wants more power.
3. Palin slapped the "mainstream" media (gosh, did she forget who, in part, butters her bread?).
4. Palin could not provide one detailed, specific tidbit about what she and McCain would do to dig ourselves out of this huge hole. Which makes me believe that they'll leave us in this hole - without a lifeline.
On the other hand, I think she did a really good job of memorizing her script and one-liners. God forbid that we ever need an answer that wasn't already scripted and memorized.
One final thought: Being someone who came from a family of educators, did she forget that there's a letter "G" in the alphabet? I'm sure "gonn'a" hope she remembers. But I bet'cha she don't care.
I've spent the last seven and-a-half years listening to the word, Nukkular. Eight more years? I don't think so!
